Licensing & sourcing disclosure
Every record in this pool is obtained through authorized channels: paid subscriptions to licensed DJ record pools and promotional services, direct label and artist agreements, and independent catalogs distributed under Creative Commons or royalty-free licenses.
- Wowzaradio maintains active, paid subscriptions with authorized DJ record pools and promotional distribution services. Records supplied through those subscriptions are made available to members for on-air broadcast and DJ use only, under the terms of the agreements we hold with each supplier.
- Independent catalog records are sourced from rights-holder-approved libraries (for example Creative Commons BY / BY-SA and royalty-free catalogs). Attribution supplied with each record must be preserved wherever the supplier's license requires it.
- Your download rights are a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the audio for broadcasting, streaming, and DJ performance on stations you operate through Wowzaradio. Redistribution, resale, file sharing, uploading to third-party stores or streaming platforms, sync licensing, and public file hosting are prohibited.
- Broadcast of commercial sound recordings may still require performance and mechanical licenses in your territory (for example ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange, PRS, or your local collecting societies). Pool access does not replace those licenses, and each station operator remains responsible for obtaining them and for reporting plays as required.
- Records may be withdrawn at a supplier's request. If a rights holder notifies us of a claim, the record is removed from the pool and from automated rotation, and affected members are notified. Send licensing questions or takedown notices to our support desk and we will respond promptly.
- Uploads to the shared crates are restricted to Wowzaradio administrators and staff, who must confirm that each record comes from a pool, label, or artist agreement we hold before publishing it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Wowzaradio DJ Record Pool?
The Wowzaradio DJ Record Pool is a subscription crate library for radio hosts and DJs. It costs $19.99 per month, includes unlimited downloads, tags every record with BPM and musical key, and drops files directly into your Wowzaradio Media Library and station playlists.
How much does the DJ record pool cost?
$19.99 per month as an add-on to any Wowzaradio plan, with unlimited pulls and no per-track fees. Wowzaradio administrators and staff have complimentary access.
Is the music cleared for broadcast?
Yes. Records come from paid DJ record pool subscriptions, direct label and artist agreements, and rights-holder-approved Creative Commons or royalty-free catalogs. Broadcasters still need the performance licenses required in their own territory.
Which genres are in the crates?
The pool ships 12 curated crates: House & Club, Techno / Tech House, Hip-Hop & Trap, R&B / Soul, Latin & Reggaeton, Afrobeats & Amapiano, Drum & Bass, Chill & Lo-Fi, Rock & Indie, Retro & Disco, Open Format, DJ Tools & Intros. Staff add new crates and Wowzaradio Crate exclusives on an ongoing basis.
Can I search by BPM and key?
Yes. Every crate carries a suggested BPM window and each record is tagged with BPM, key, genre and duration, so you can filter for the tempo and harmonic match a set or daypart needs.
How do records get into my radio rotation?
One click. A pulled record lands in your Wowzaradio Media Library and can be added to an AutoDJ playlist or daypart clock immediately — no manual uploads, tagging or FTP.
How is my DJ Record Pool subscription used?
Every dollar from the DJ Record Pool add-on is reinvested into maintaining and expanding the pool — licensing new releases, renewing paid DJ pool subscriptions, signing direct label and artist agreements, and keeping the crates stocked with the latest broadcast-legal music for radio stations.
